Continuing in 2024, Stanley College is offering fee-free qualifications for selected courses as part of the FEE FREE Government initiative, which is meant to create career opportunities for Australians and help build Western Australia’s skilled workforce. The free training focuses on priority industry areas and is 100 percent subsidised by the WA State Government so that there is no cost to you.

Through the FEE FREE initiative (available for select courses only), you can get qualified in Health, Early Childhood Education, Information and Communications Technology and Commercial Cookery at no cost! Places are opening now, so hurry up!

Students may be eligible for a funded course at Stanley College if they have left school, and their primary place of residence is in Western Australia and they are either:

  • an Australian citizen or
  • a permanent visa holder or
  • holders of a sub-class 309, 444, 785, 790, or 820 visa;
  • secondary holders of a temporary visa of sub-class 457 or 482 visa;
  • holders of a Bridging Visa E (subclasses 050 and 051) where the visa holder has made a valid application for a visa of subclass 785 or 790;
  • Ukraine citizens who are holders of a visa sub-class 449 or 786;
  • Afghan citizens who are holders of a visa sub-class 449; and
  • holders of a bridging visa who are eligible to work, and who have made a valid application for a subclass 866.

WR Participation – Work Readiness Program (Job Seeker)
To be eligible for the program, students must be unemployed or under-employed< and able to access mainstream training. Students must:

  • Have a written referral from an Approved Participation Referral Agent for Job Seekers; OR
  • Be referred by themselves; another agency or recruited by the Service Provider.

<Under employed is an individual working less than 20 hours a week with one or across multiple employers.

The following students are eligible for a concession rate on fees (for training up to Certificate IV level):

  • Persons and dependants of persons holding:
    • A Pensioner Concession Card; OR
    • A Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs; OR
    • A Health Care Card.
  • Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of services from the following Commonwealth support or employment services programs:
    • Workforce Australia; OR
    • ParentsNext
  • Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY.
  • Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of the Youth Allowance.
  • Persons and dependants of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution.
  • Secondary school-aged persons, not enrolled at school.

The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as resource fees and other fees. These must be charged in accordance with the Fees and Charges Policy. Eligibility criteria apply. Prices as per the VET Fees and Charges Policy 2024.

Fee Waiver
Student fees may be waived for applicants with severe financial hardship.
